Forever to be lost and alone.
I travel down a path I know not where it goes.
The trees become more and more bare
The ground becomes less and less smooth.
The only friend is the moon and his dimming light.
I keep traveling on this path for the hope to see the sun again
not wanting to go back on everything that has gotten me here.
I am being pushed further and further down my damaged road.
No one else is here with me, just me and the moon.
I talk to the moon, but he does not answer back.
He smiles down on me, out of mercy, I guess.
I shall continue down this path until the day,
the day the sun appears or my friend the moon,
darkens his light too.
